Apologies for not posting about these notices on Friday of last week – the internet was down in the school and of course, I couldn’t get on to our blog!

P1 have a busy week ahead this week in school with lots going on..

Monday – Today the children have received letters home informing parents about the P1 Nativity performance on the last week of term and informing you which role your child has been cast in. Rehearsals will become a big part of our timetable in the lead up to the performance to give the children plenty of practise. If your child has a speaking part that they need to learn, I will ensure that you have a copy of these to help support your child in preparation for the performance. Costumes will be provided by the school but if there is anything additional your child may require, you will also be informed of this in due course.

Tuesday – The whole school have been invited to attend Glenurquhart High School’s performance of ‘Guys and Dolls The Musical’ in the afternoon on Tuesday. We have been reassured that this is a child friendly show and is appropriate for all age groups. We will be having a slightly earlier lunch time so that we are seated at the high school at 1pm for the start of the show.

Wednesday – The whole school are participating in their kilted sponsored walk on Wednesday morning from 9-11am. This is to help raise funds for the school. Sponsorship forms and monies collected can be handed in to the school office or to class teachers. The dress theme is optional but if your child has a kilt they would like to wear or something tartan, they can do.

Thursday – Nursery pupils that will be enrolled as Primary 1s next August will be visiting the school on Thursday afternoon to support their transition process. P1 and Nursery will be meeting in the hall at 1.30pm to learn more about the Nativity story and a Christmas craft activity will be set up for them to complete with the help of P6/7 buddies, teachers and the nursery staff. This will be a fab opportunity for P1 to make friends!
